Dubai Miracle Garden does not allow pets. A visit takes two to three hours inside the garden, and with travel across the city you are usually away for half a day.

If you have a dog, a cat or another pet at home, the question is simple: where will it stay, and who will look after it? This guide covers your options in Dubai and how to choose care you can rely on.

Where to Leave Your Pet

There are three sensible choices. The right one depends on your pet and how long you will be out.

At home, with a sitter visiting

Your pet stays in its own surroundings. A sitter comes to your home while you are at the garden, gives fresh food and water, cleans the litter tray or cage, takes a dog out and spends time with your pet.

This suits most pets and works especially well for cats, birds and rabbits. In Dubai, you can arrange it through Pawland’s pet sitting service.

In a sitter’s home

Your pet spends the time in a sitter’s home and has company throughout. It is a home setting with no cages, and your pet keeps its usual meals and routine.

This suits dogs that dislike being alone, young pets and longer days out. Pawland offers it as in-home pet boarding.

At home on its own

A healthy adult cat is comfortable alone for half a day with food and water. An adult dog manages four to six hours after a good walk. This is not suitable for puppies, kittens, older pets or a full day away.

Do not bring your pet and leave it in the car. A parked car in Dubai overheats within minutes.

Will My Pet Be in Good Hands

It is natural to feel uneasy about leaving your pet with someone new. With Pawland, your sitter meets you and your pet before the day, so they are not a stranger when they arrive. They follow the routine you give them, from mealtimes to walks, and send you photos while you are out. If anything needs attention, the Pawland team is available to help at any hour.

That is enough for most owners to relax and enjoy the garden, knowing their pet is being looked after the way they would do it themselves.

Which Option Suits Your Pet

  • Cats prefer their own territory. A home visit is usually best.
  • Adult dogs need a break after four to six hours. Choose a home visit, or a stay in a sitter’s home if your dog is anxious alone.
  • Puppies and kittens need frequent meals and supervision. A stay in a sitter’s home is the safer choice.
  • Birds and rabbits are calmest at home. A visit covers their food, water and a health check.

If You Bring Flowers Home

A visit to the garden often ends with a bouquet or a plant. Take care if you have pets.

Lilies are highly toxic to cats. Even the pollen or the water from the vase can cause serious harm. Tulips and daffodils can make both cats and dogs unwell if chewed.

Keep flowers in a room your pet cannot reach, or choose pet-safe ones such as roses, sunflowers and orchids. If your pet eats any part of a plant and seems unwell, contact a vet immediately.
